Overview

The Kia Sportage is renowned for being an affordable compact SUV. It offers a comprehensive set of safety features, excellent versatility, and tremendous value. The Sportage is a five passenger vehicle that is offered in front-wheel (FWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD). The Sportage is powered by one of three four-cylinder engines, a 181-hp 2.4-liter Theta II, a 237-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter, or a 240-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter all mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Standard equipment across all trims include, LED daytime running lights, front fog lights SiriusXM satellite radio, Bluetooth, a touchscreen display screen and wireless smart device connectivity. The EX and SX trims add heated mirrors, heated front seats, leather upholstery, automatic dual-zone climate control and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smart device connectivity while the SX Turbo also gets a power liftgate, power sunroof, Dynamic Bending Light (DBL) directionally adaptive headlights, High Beam Assist (HBA) auto high-beams, LED front fog lights, cooled front seats, a 320W amplifer, a Clari-Fi digital signal processor and integrated navigation with voice activation. Safety features such as six airbags, a rear view camera, low tire pressure warning system and 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist and hill hold control are standard while the EX and SX trims add 911 Connect emergency SOS, Blind Spot Dectection (BSD) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), the SX Turbo trim also gets Park Assist front and rear parking sensors, Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) and Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB). The Sportage adds front fog lights as standard equipment to all trims for 2018 while Apple CarPlay/Android Auto Connectivity are added to the EX and SX Turbo trims.
