Overview

The Kia Optima is a five-seat, front-wheel-drive midsize sedan, placing it squarely in one of the most competitive car classes. The optima offers the choice of three different powertrains. The LX, EX, and new S trims offer a 185-hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a Sportmatic six-speed automatic transmission. The LX 1.6T comes with a 178-hp 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The SX Turbo comes with a 245-hp 2-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with a Sportmatic six-speed automatic transmission. Standard safety features include electronic stability control, traction control, 4-wheel disc ABS brakes, rear camera, front active headrests and 7 airbags. Available features include Panoramic sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats and Nappa leather seating surfaces. The Optima is a carry-over model for 2018.
