Overview

The latest generation of Hyundai Tucson blends urban style with the rugged strength of a sport utility vehicle, resulting in a crossover that offers the high levels of comfort, technology and versatility demanded in today's market. The five-passenger Tucson is offered in both front- and all-wheel drive configurations. Power is supplied by either a 164-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, or a 175-hp 1.6-liter turbocharged four cylinder, mated to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT). Trim-dependent standard equipment includes: a power liftgate, 19-inch aluminum wheels, LED headlights, front fog lamps, passive entry/start, heated front seats, leather upholstery and dual-zone automatic climate control, along with HD/satellite radio, Bluetooth wireless phone/audio streaming, USB port, smartphone integration, voice-activated navigation and an 8-inch touchscreen display. Safety features found on every Tucson include anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, electronic stability/traction control systems and a rearview camera, as well as six airbags. Other available driver-assist technologies include a Blind Spot Detection System, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning System and Automatic Emergency Braking. The Hyundai Tucson receives minor adjustments for the 2018 model year. Packaging levels have been realigned, with a new SEL trim being offered, while a panoramic sunroof, 7-inch touchscreen interface, HD radio and heated steering wheel are added to standard equipment on select trims.
