Overview

The Audi R8 is the company's first mid-engine supercar. It is designed with extreme performance in mind, and has other high-end sports cars in its sights. The R8 is powered by a revised 5.2-liter V-10 that produces 540-hp, and a 610-hp variant in the plus trim. The quattro all-wheel drive system is now able to send 100 percent of the power to the front or rear wheels, and uses its standard 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission to do so. Standard features for the R8 include navigation, parking sensors, rearview camera, satellite radio, Bang & Olufsen audio system, automatic climate control, and 19-inch forged aluminum wheels. The plus trim forgoes some of the luxury features for more performance oriented items such as a carbon fiber fixed wing, trim, and racing seats. Some of the available options include carbon fiber trim, leather interior, and lighting packages. For 2018, the Audi R8 gets updates to the standard options and packages.
