Helping you find the best price on a new car or truck
The Smart Buy Average Market Price
The Smart Buy Average Market Price is a proprietary mathematical calculation based on actual recent transactions either in your local area or nationally. It provides a statistically accurate understanding of what other buyers are paying for the vehicle you have selected and as you have configured it. Adjustments to the calculation beyond make, model, and trim are normalized based on detailed, anonymized transaction information. This accounts for the fact that most or all recently-sold vehicles included different option combinations than your specified vehicle configuration. The data underlying the Smart Buy Average Market Price calculation are filtered for extreme outliers and subjected to a weighted averaging process that considers factors such as the recency of transactions and the timing of data lags. In certain instances, the calculated result is adjusted to take account of abrupt changes in the market that may not yet be fully reflected by recent transaction prices. In all cases where the Smart Buy Average Market Price is shown there is sufficient sample size and transaction detail to be statistically reliable.
Taller, wider and longer the Toyota 4Runner is a sport utility vehicle that combines true off-road competence with everyday driving comfort, refinement and safety. For 2017 the Trail Edition is renamed the TRD Off-Road. The TRD Pro model continues. SR5 and Limited trims are available in rear- or four-wheel drive. TRD Off-Road and TRD Pro with rear locking differential, crawl control, rock rails and moonroof are only available in four-wheel drive. The TRD Pro has upgraded offroad springs, shocks, tires, and an additional skid plate. SR5 Premium and TRD Off-Road Premium trims also include upgraded levels of equipment. All models include a five-speed automatic transmission and a 270-hp 4.0-liter V6 engine. An optional third-row seat expands passenger capacity to seven on SR5 and Limited. Stability control, traction control, 8 airbags and roll-over sensors are standard. Interior trim is either cloth, Softex, or leather. The 4Runner includes Toyotas' Entune Audio Plus infotainment system and a rearview camera as standard equipment. Premium audio with navigation, SmartKey keyless entry with pushbutton start, front and rear sonar system, and a power moonroof are all available features. Some trim names and equipment have been slightly revised but the Toyota 4Runner is a carryover for 2017.
