Overview

Now in it's seventh generation, the Porsche 911 remains the iconic symbol of a sports car. The 911 is available as either a coupe, a cabriolet or targa, and drive type choices include rear- or all-wheel drive in Carrera models, all-wheel drive only in the Turbo. The Carrera is powered by a 370-hp twin-turbo 3.0-liter flat six-cylinder, while the Carrera S is powered by a 420-hp version of the same 3.0-liter. The Turbo packs a 540-hp 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six (580-hp in the Turbo S). Transmission choices include a seven-speed manual for the Carrera and Carrera S, while a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch is optional on all Carrera's and standard on the Turbo models. Standard safety features on all 911 models include eight airbags, front belt pretensioners, engine immobilizer, security system and electronic stability control. The cabriolets also have auto-deploying roll-over protection. The Turbo models include active rear wheel steering for increased stability and agility, this feature is also optional on the Carerra S models. For 2017, the 911 has been refreshed inside and out, and all Carrera's are now powered by a new 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six.
