Overview
The Mitsubishi Lancer is a sporty compact sedan, combining advanced user and safety technologies with stylish design and a fun-to-drive character. The Lancer is available in five variants - ES and LE (FWD), and ES, SE and SEL with All Wheel Control (AWC). Power is provided by either a 148-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, or a 168-hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine; available transmissions include a five-speed manual and a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Trim-dependent standard equipment includes: 16- and 18-inch aluminum wheels, power sunroof, fog lights, passive entry/start, heated front seats, leather upholstery, automatic climate control, satellite/HD radio, USB port, Bluetooth wireless connectivity/audio streaming and smartphone integration. Standard safety features on every Lancer include stability and traction control systems, 4-wheel anti-lock brakes with brake assist, a rearview camera and seven airbags. Following a refresh last year, the Mitsubishi Lancer carries over with minimal changes for 2017. A rearview camera is now standard on all trim levels, as well as the 6.1-inch center touchscreen display. Additionally, the GT trim level is no longer offered; however, its sport-tuned suspension and 18-inch wheels have migrated to the SE trim level.
