Overview

The Ford Expedition EL is a longer bodied version of the regular Expedition. When equipped with four-wheel drive, the Expedition EL can get you there whether the road is dry, wet, snowy, or even when there's hardly any road at all. The Expedition EL adds more cargo-carrying capacity with a long 131-inch wheelbase. The Expedition is available in five trims: XL, XLT, Limited, King Ranch and Platinum in both FWD and AWD. The Expedition EL is powered by a 365-hp 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. A Class IV trailer hitch and trailer sway control are standard and give the Expedition towing capacities in the 6000-pound range. Safety equipment includes six airbags, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, and electronic stability control with anti-rollover technology. Some available features include a 12 speaker Sony audio system, BLIS Blind Spot Information System, voice-activated touch screen navigation system, power moonroof, LED fog lights and a power liftgate. The Ford Expedition EL carries over with minimal changes for 2017.
