Overview

The Dodge Challenger is a modern interpretation of the classic American muscle car. Unlike the unrefined pony cars of yesteryear, the Challenger features the fuel efficiency, safety, handling, technology and build quality expected in a contemporary coupe. The Challenger is available in six trims, the front-wheel drive gets the SXT, R/T, R/T 392, SRT 392 and SRT Hellcat while the AWD only comes in the GT. The Challenger is powered by 6 different engine and transmission configurations, a 305-hp 3.6L V6 mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, a 5.7L V8 capable of 372-hp to 375-hp and a 485-HP 6.4L V8 HEMI all three mated to either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic and a 707-hp 6.2L V8 with a six-speed manual. Trim specific standard equipment includes LED daytime running lights, 18- 19- or 20-inch aluminum wheels, heated and ventilated seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, satellite radio, 8.4-inch display screen, Uconnect with Bluetooth, mobile hotspot, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, Keyless Go, ParkSense parking sensors, heated steering wheel and ParkView rear camera. There are many optional features that can be added that range from a remote start system, universal garage door opener, blind spot and cross path detection, power sunroof, to a premium sound group with 18 speakers and harmon/kardon GeenEdge Amp while the Sound Group II adds a 506 Watt Amplifier, and 9 amplified speakers with subwoofer. The Dodge Challenger carries over into 2017 with minimal changes.
