Overview

The Chevrolet Colorado offers a variety of cab styles, suspensions and powertrains that make it both versatile and practical. The Colorado is offered in an extended cab with a 6-foot box or in a crew cab with a 5- or 6-foot box. Both cab types are available in RWD or 4x4 they are powered by one of three engines, a 200-hp 2.5-liter four-cylinder, a 308-hp 3.6-liter V6 or a 181-hp 2.8-liter turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine. Three transmissions are available, a six-speed manual, six-speed automatic or an 8-speed automatic. Trim specific standard equipment include 16- or 17-inch wheels, 6 airbags, climate control and rear camera. The LT, Z71 and ZR2 get an HD/Satellite radio, Bluetooth and Onstar, Apple CarPlay, 4 USB ports, while the Z71 and ZR2 add heated front seats, LED daytime running lights, front fog lights and an upgrade to automatic climate control. Optional equipment includes EZ-Lift & Lower Tailgate, remote starter, heated power mirrors, forward collision alert, lane departure warning as well as chrome bumpers and door handles. The Redline Special Edition gets a black grille, black spray-on bedliner with Chevrolet logo, 18-inch aluminum wheels, 3-inch round black off-road step bars, red recovery hooks and a Blackout Exterior Trim Appearance Package. A Midnight Edition gets a black spray-on bedliner with Chevrolet logo, black bowtie emblem package, body-color grille, soft folding tonneau cover, stainless steel door sill plates and 18-inch aluminum wheels. The Colorado adds the ZR2 trim and the 8-speed automatic transmission for 2017.
