It's probably not a big deal, but we figured you'd want to know anyway

Let's just make one thing clear right off the bat: If you want to go off-roading and you want an open-air experience, a Jeep Wrangler is probably the right vehicle for you. Really, the Wrangler has always been about enjoying the outdoors with as little between its occupants and the great outdoors as legally possible. That's why the top comes off, the doors stay home, and the windshield folds flat. All that said, however, one cool bit of show-car desirability reportedly won't make into production

Volkswagen Atlas 5-passenger concept to be unveiled in New York

The big Atlas is getting a more intimate version.

At last year's New York Auto Show, VW's CEO Hinrich Woebcken told reporters that a five-passenger version of the Atlas crossover would spring from a further investment in the company's Tennessee manufacturing plant. And now, VW has confirmed that it's indeed a two-row Atlas that will be produced there, joining the three-row job in the VW lineup.

Uber suspends autonomous vehicle testing after bicyclist is killed

The incident happened in Tempe, Ariz., and involved a Volvo XC90.

An autonomously-driven Uber struck and killed a pedestrian in Tempe, Ariz., late Sunday evening. A statement from local police indicates that the woman was crossing the street outside of a crosswalk. A bicycle was present at the accident scene, according to local news station ABC 15, but it's not yet clear if the deceased was walking with or riding the bike.
