Maserati Cars
Maserati is an old brand with a storied history, particularly its racing successes in the 1920s and 1930s. After the war, famed Grand Prix driver Juan-Manuel Fangio won a championship in 1957 in a 250F. After withdrawing from racing, the company built a series of grand-touring cars. The takeover by Citroen in 1968 led to even more touring models, such as the Maserati-powered Citroen SM and the mid-engine Bora. After a few years in the De Tomaso and Chrysler umbrellas, Fiat stepped in. The company now is linked to Ferrari, using a version of the company's V8 engine. The new Ghibli uses a twin-turbocharged V6. The GranTurismo coupe and convertible and the Levante SUV round out the current lineup.
