Overview

The Chevrolet Silverado works hard to live up to its reputation as the 'strongest, most dependable and longest lasting truck on the road'. The 2500HD is the 'three quarter-ton', full-size heavy duty pickup in Chevy's lineup. The Silverado is offered as a regular, double or crew cab all available in both FWD and 4x4. The Regular cabs are available with an 8-foot box, while the double and crew cabs are available in a 6.6 or 8-foot box. The Silverado 2500 is powered by one of two engines a 401-hp 6.6L V8 paired with a six-speed automatic transmission or a 445-hp 6.6L V8 diesel mated to a ten-speed automatic transmission. Trim specific standard equipment includes 17- 18- or 20-inch wheels, pickup cargo box lighting, Tire Fill Alert, mobile hotspot, Satellite radio, Teen Driver Mode and bluetooth. There are many options that can be added depending on the trim such as remote keyless entry, remote locking tailgate, rear vision camera, dual-zone automatic climate control, remote starter, Bose Sound system, OnStar, heated leather wrapped steering wheel, power sunroof, spray-on pickup box liner and a variety of side assist steps, soft and hard tonneau covers and appearance packages. Optional safety features include forward collision alert, lane departure warning, rear cross traffic alert, Ultrasonc front and rear Park Assist, automatic emergency braking, safety alert seat, and front fog lights. The Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD gets several changes to options and packages for 2020.
