Overview

The A8 carries the technology flag for Audi. Its understated styling and all aluminum frame make it a unique choice in the full-size luxury sedan market. The five-passenger A8 comes in 3.0T and 4.0T variations, both are long-wheelbase versions. The 3.0T sports an intercooled V6 with 333-hp, while the 4.0T is a twin-turbo direct-injection V8 producing 453-HP. Power for both models is directed to the ground by an eight-speed automatic paddle-shifted Tiptronic transmission and quattro all-wheel drive. Standard tech features on the A8 include a 17-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, HD/Satellite radio, integrated navigation with voice activation, sunroof and cruise control. Safety features include 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, LED headlights, auto-high beams, front and rear parking sensors, Audi pre sense basic forward collision and ten airbags. For 2019 the Audi A8 is a carryover model.
