2019 Porsche 911 to get digital interior — only the tach will be analog

It will be very Panamera-like.

Our spy photographer got us a first look at the interior of the 2019 Porsche 911, and it's going to be a lot more modern.

Taking some design cues from the Panamera, the 911 interior will get a wide LCD screen — wide as in the 12.3-inch unit from the Panamera, or so it appears.

The cluster will feature digital instruments flanking the tachometer, which will be the only remaining analog gauge.

And the steering wheel appears to get new control clusters for the infotainment screens, but retains the Sport Chrono driving-mode dial, seen here at the lower right portion of the wheel. Paddle shifters are also visible.

The photographer couldn't make out the rest of the center stack, which was obscured by the test engineer's laptop. But we suspect you can look at the updated cockpit of the Panamera for clues as to the rest of the setup.
