You know those signs posted on bridges that warn motorists — especially truck drivers — about the bridge's load limit? Ever wonder what happens when one of those signs gets ignored? Well, here you go.

Sunday morning, near Natchez, Miss., here's what happened to a bridge when a dump truck full of gravel crossed it. The driver was not injured. The bridge was another matter.

A road official for Adams County, Miss., says he believes the truck was way beyond the bridge's 8,000-pound limit.

Crews recovered the truck from the creek bed and parked it across the road to block the broken span.
