Nissan Leaf promises to 'excite your senses' in new teaser

It promises advanced technology, premium interiors and a peaceful drive.

As the reveal date of the next-generation Nissan Leaf approaches, the automaker is continuing to whet our appetite with delightfully serene teaser videos. The latest promises that the new iteration of Nissan's successful EV will "Amaze Your Senses."

Nissan lists confidence on the road, a peaceful drive, and a lack of tailpipe emissions as ways the new Leaf will please its drivers. The video also says that the car will offer "available advanced technologies to enhance your vision." We assume that refers, at least in part, to the ProPilot Assist technology, which is essentially a semi-autonomous driving system utilizing adaptive cruise control and steering assist. ( We recently sample ProPilot Assist on a Rogue prototype, ahead of the system's first commercial application in the U.S. on the Leaf.) The video also says that the Leaf's "premium interiors" offer added comfort "designed to suit your taste."

Nissan also included a photo of the Leaf's taillight in its latest release:

The new Nissan LEAF, packed with our most available advanced technologies, will be revealed September 6, 2017, in Japan (September 5 in the U.S.). The redesigned next-generation LEAF will amaze your senses and raise the bar for the electric vehicle market. As a 100% electric vehicle with zero tailpipe emissions, the new Nissan LEAF, an icon of Nissan Intelligent Mobility, offers a quiet and refreshing experience while driving.

The next-generation Nissan Leaf debuts on September 5 in the U.S. Following that, Nissan plans to bring the Leaf to the public in eight cities as part of National Drive Electric Week. It's offering exclusive drives to current Leaf owners as part of that event.
