The UK's Car Magazine reports that the new 911 Speedster is expected to debut at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, which is open to the public Sept. 14-24. Porsche typically only builds 356 units of the collector's model, so you'll have to act fast if you want one.
You have to go all the way back to 2010 to find the last edition of the Speedster, which carried a 2011 model year and marked the end of the 997 911 generation. That sports car boasted a 3.8-liter engine driving the rear wheels and delivering 408 horsepower and a top speed of nearly 190 mph. It had Porsche's seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission.
The forthcoming 991.2-generation Speedster will reportedly similarly mark the end of its generation.
