New Porsche Cayenne spotted with a different nose

It looks like the next-generation Porsche Cayenne will have some distinct differences between models. Just a couple of weeks ago, we got a glimpse of a new Cayenne with a subtly tweaked nose. Now we get a look at another one with a much different front fascia.

The grille is the biggest change, and it's remarkably squared off in comparison with past Cayenne grilles. The ends are slightly larger, creating a rectangular dog-bone shape. There's also a large egg-crate insert with thin vertical and horizontal bars. At least to this editor, it seems reminiscent of Futurama character Bender B. Rodriguez. At the back is one other distinct change, and that's the use of quad exhaust tips rather than duals. Aside from these two changes, both the previous SUV and this one appear identical.

With both of these Cayennes running around, we suspect that the fascia and exhaust changes will represent different trim levels or engine choices for the Cayenne. This new white model looks more aggressive with the bold grille and exhaust tips, so we would expect this to be the higher-performance version, possibly the Cayenne GTS or Cayenne Turbo. The previous model may be the look for the regular Cayennes.
