In our look at a great lease deal in June, we attempted to profile a bargain for under $400 per month. As we settle into summer, here's a sizzling deal appropriate to the sizzling temps: BMW's offer on its 320i sport sedan.

First introduced to the US in the 1977 model year, the 3 Series added refinement to BMW's sport/sedan recipe, embodied in the company's earlier - and more visceral - 2002. Initially launched with BMW's four, various sixes were subsequently added; 40 years later, a 320-horsepower six is available via BMW's up-spec 340i.
Today's 320i four-door essentially comes full circle, offering a turbocharged 2.0-liter four. And while down on both horsepower (180) and spec relative to the more premium – and still four-cylinder-powered - 330i (with 248 hp), the value-oriented 320i is none too shabby on an open road. And given the number of ways you can spend $40,000 on relatively tame transport, a '3' for that amount is an absolute win.
BMW's $359/month offer is predicated on a MSRP of $36,000 and a suggested contribution of $1,200 from your BMW dealer. With metallic paint, sport suspension, leather, wood trim and power front seats with heat, we priced one out at just under $40,000, for which we'd anticipate a lease payment of just under $400/month. Lease details are below (and it's not valid in Puerto Rico):
Cash due at signing includes $2,750 down payment, $359 first month's payment, $925 acquisition fee and $0 security deposit. Lessee responsible for insurance during the lease term, excess wear and tear as defined in the lease contract, $0.25/mile over 30,000 miles and a disposition fee of $350 at lease end.
