2018 Chevy Corvette ZR1 defies snow, takes on the Nurburgring

The 2019 Chevy Corvette ZR1 has been spied several times in the past year, in camouflage and in various stages of undress, and also alongside what we think will be the mid-engine Corvette that will succeed it. But now the ZR1 has been spotted on a field trip to the mother of all racetracks, the Nürburgring.

With the black camo gone, we can see just how aggressive it looks, with aero you might find on a GT3 racecar. The hood features a large bulge that likely accommodates a big supercharger, and large vents. The front fascia shows three huge air intakes and massive splitter. The splitter even appears to have vertical winglets at the ends.

The fender vents appear different than what we've seen before, and it is sporting a huge wing. We've seen various wing sizes on the ZR1 prototypes, so perhaps there will be wing options, something similar to the Z07 Performance Package to be available on the new ZR1.

As for the engine, we've speculated in the past that it will exceed 700 horsepower, maybe 750. Here's a link to everything we know about the ZR1 so far.
