This month, our VR adventures brought us all the way to Croatia to check out the Greyp G12S electric bicycle. We enlisted the help of Jonathon Buckley, host of Autoblog original series Translogic, to try the bike out on the quaint, medieval streets of Samabor.
We traveled to Croatia originally to check out the amazing work being done by Rimac Automobili. If you're not aware of the company, they make one of the world's fastest electric supercars, the Concept_One. In fact, you can check out the full Translogic episode on the Concept_One right here. One of the coolest things about the Greyp G12S is that it's actually powered by Rimac technology.
The G12S is a bicycle with pedals, but it also has a pretty gnarly powertrain. The electric motor puts out 12 kilowatts of power, enough to flip the bike right over if you're not careful. It happened to be the personal bicycle of Rimac's CEO, and Bucko discovered that it may have had even more juice than the production model. He hit took the bike over 50 miles per hour.
