Driving in the Black Forest in Germany | AutoblogVR

Germany is the birthplace of the automobile, and it's still a car-crazy culture. It's also a place of great natural beauty. Senior Editor Alex Kierstein headed to Germany's famous Schwarzwald, the Black Forest, one of the best places in the whole country to tour by car, to see the sights and sample some amazing winding roads in a Mercedes-Benz CLS400.

The day started at the outskirts of the Black Forest at the incredible Unimog Museum, where we got to experience the truck's awe-inspiring off-road capabilities on the museum's demonstration course. We then headed up and into the forest, stopping in quaint towns and at scenic overlooks. There's a lot to see and take in, so come with us as we discover one of the most incredible areas of Germany.

Each week, new episodes will launch on the AutoblogVR App. We'll be posting them here on Autoblog, but for the best experience, head over to the app, which you can download for free from the App store and Google Play. Be sure to try it with a cardboard viewer, too!
