Specifically, Tesla's current referrals program will run until January 15, 2017, and, like the previous version, will allow Tesla owners to refer as many as 10 potential buyers. Those top-tier participants get an invitation for them and a guest to attend the company's next unveiling event, whatever that may be. Those who refer five buyers get a VIP tour of Tesla's factory in Fremont, California, as well as a question and answer session with Tesla Chief Designer Franz von Holzhausen. Those who refer a trio of buyers get those custom-made headphones. And for those This is Spinal Tap fans out there, no word on whether you can turn those headphones' volume to 11, but probably. But all participants get entered into a drawing for a brand new Ludicrous version of the Tesla Model S or Model X. And, as with the previous iterations, each buyer gets a $1,000 discount on his or her new car. Those 21" custom Arachnid wheels that were part of the last referral program, though? Not this time.
