An image of NextEV's upcoming supercar has leaked. The electric vehicle, which will provide over 1 MW of power (or about 1,360 hp) and do 0-62 mph in less than three seconds, is expected to debut this November. NextEV plans to follow its electric supercar with a more affordable EV for the masses. The sketch leaked onto Chinese social media, and Electrek says that sources confirm it to be an accurate representation of NextEV's vehicle. It will be available in limited quantities in China, then the US, and possibly other markets. Read more from Electrek.
The circuit layout for the Formula E Montreal ePrix has leaked. The 1.7-mile course will take place on streets near the St. Lawrence River on the east side of downtown. It's not far from the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, but on the Island of Montreal rather than the Formula One track's home of Notre-Dame Island. The roads on which the circuit is planned are all approved for resurfacing between now and the race dates of July 29 and 30 of 2017. Read more at Current E, or, if you read French, from Pole Position.
