[00:00:00] The nex-gen Civic Type R is expected to go on sale in 2017, and in anticipation we look at the latest spy shots of Honda's performance hatchback. These images give us a great look at the headlights and front grille styling but we'll have to stay patient before we're able to see more of what a production model Type R will look like. For the complete story, with all the speculation and rumors head to Autoblog.com

This week we saw one of the most exciting sets of spy shots

[00:00:30] that we've seen in years. The Toyota Supra. This is perhaps the most anticipated car that Toyota is developing. It's developing this car in tandem with BMW. BMW will get the next-generation Z5 out of the project, while Toyota will get a successor to the iconic Supra. So it's tough to tell what the next Supra will look like but you see a lot of design cues from the FT-1 concept from the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. It looks sporty – the quintessential sports car –

[00:01:00] with a long hood and a tapered deck in back. Now we should point out that Toyota has not confirmed that the Supra name or the car itself is coming back. We know they're doing a sports car. Officially we don't know what it's going to be called. However, all of the rumors and all of the signs, including Federal trademark fillings, indicate that the Supra is on its way back. We expect both the Z5 and the Toyota Supra to arrive for the 2019 model year.

Lexus had a surprise in store for us this week

[00:01:30] revealing a teaser shot of the UX Crossover concept that's set to take center stage at the Paris Motor Show at the end of this month. As you can see from this picture this is a crazy concept car. When I look at it I see a little bit of an off-road theme but Lexus says it's actually more of a lifestyle vehicle. That means it could compete with vehicles like the BMW X6 and X4. In back the roofline is severely raked. It follows in the new trend of making SUVs look like coupes. We expect to see

[00:02:00] this in production form perhaps in as soon as a year. For Autoblog I'm Greg Migliore.
