The upcoming
Ford F-150 Raptor is a purpose-built off roader that is capable of traversing a variety of rough terrain. So it shouldn't come as a surprise to hear that the all-new
truck boasts some high-performance shocks. While it's not as revolutionary as
Ford makes it out to be, the automaker teamed up with Fox to fit the Raptor with three-inch shocks with a base valve piston for greater off-roading capability and a more comfortable ride on the road.
The upcoming Raptor's front shocks have grown by half an inch in diameter over last year's model (2.5 inches to three inches) for improved performance. The larger shocks give the new Raptor increased fade resistance and heat dissipation. Suspension travel has also increased by roughly two inches at both ends with the new truck boasting 13.0 inches of travel at the front and 13.9 inches at the rear.
With new shocks, the next Raptor should be even better than the previous model – as you would expect. Check out the video above to geek out over the Raptor's new shocks and to see the truck fly over rough terrain.
