The Mercedes-AMG
G-Class isn't the subtlest SUV on the road, and that's made more evident when one of the five hues from the Crazy Color Package is chosen for either the G63 or G65. Fans of the SUV that don't have the means to shell out roughly $140,000 for a G63 can now get a 1:18 model in one of the five unique
colors (
AMG solarbeam, sunsetbeam, aliengreen, tomatored, and galactibeam) that make up the "crazy color" palette.
The limited-edition models are made out of resin and were created in a collaboration between Mercedes-Benz and model car specialists GT Spirit. Just like the real thing, the 1:18 models are finished in one of the five bright colors, while the mirrors, fender flares, front and rear bumpers, roof, and spare-tire cover ring are painted black. Only 463 units of the model car will be made, which matches the internal code (W463) for the G-Class. Each model will have a serialized number on the underbody. They'll be available at Mercedes dealers, just like the real things.
