Aston Martin and Italian design house Zagato are teaming up again to create a gorgeous concept that's debuting this weekend at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. This is called the Vanquish Zagato concept and it marks the fifth time that these two iconic companies have collaborated over the last few decades. Now the body is carbon fiber, there's new taillights, and there's a retractable spoiler. There's also quad exhaust, and carbon-fiber sills that run around

[00:00:30] the body. The roof has double-bubble styling. Under the hood, naturally, is a V12 engine. This one-off concept is just for show but if you're lucky enough to be in Lake Como this weekend, be sure to check it out.

Volvo showed off its new small car strategy this week with two concepts, the 40.1 and the 40.2. Now Volvo is in the middle of a dramatic, almost surprising comeback. It's expanding its lineup and strengthening sales.

[00:01:00] These preview cars will be based on a new Volvo platform. It's a compact modular architecture. This is important because Volvo is going to use this to create a whole new line of small cars. The small cars range will also include a hybrid and a full electric model.

Jeep Wrangler fans and more importantly owners, we have important recall news for you this week. Jeep will call back about 400,000 older Wranglers from the 2007 through the

[00:01:30] 2010 model year. This is for an airbag issue. The problem is caused by excessive exposure to dirt and dust. Naturally this is consistent with off-roading. This is a very Wrangler problem. Now the dirt and dust might clog the clockspring, which controls the airbag function. Now this can cause the airbag not to deploy during a crash. You'll know there's a problem if the airbag warning light comes on. Now don't tape over it. Just take it to your local dealer and they'll take care of it.

[00:02:00] No injuries or accidents have been reported yet.

Those are the highlights from the week that was. For Autoblog I'm Greg Migliore.
