Monster truck driver saves women trapped by flood

A man and his monster truck saved the day yesterday after a woman became trapped by a flooding river in Texas. The entire daring rescue was documented by WFAA reporter Jenny Doren. The news crew arrived on the scene to document the rising Brazos River in Parker County, TX just in time to see Cole Geeo climb aboard his 8 foot high truck.

"She needed help, so we helped her," a direct Geeo told WFAA. He braved the waters to rescue his neighbor, Deborah Wright. The fast rising waters trapped Wright on her second floor balcony. A coworker of Wright's was on the scene as well.

"That's a redneck rescue I do believe," said Dina Young Gray, Wright's co-worker. "That's just how Millsap is," Gray told WFAA. "We just look out for one another... If this didn't work, we were going to get a boat."

While the monster truck did the job, Doren urged people in the area to call 911 and wait for first responders to come to their aid. The Brazos river is currently 4.5 feet above flood stage, a moderate flood for this river. Heavy rains hit Texas Monday, coming down at four inches per hour in some places, according to The Weather Channel. Five people have been killed.
