In celebration of Ford's return to endurance racing, The List hosts Jessi and Patrick take to the track in retro Shelby racecars from the folks at Superformance. Our hosts drive continuation cars of the Shelby Cobra MKIII and Daytona Coupe, as well as the GT40 MKII, famous for delivering Ford and Shelby their first overall win at Le Mans in 1966.
"That's impressive. I witnessed an evolution today," said Patrick as he hopped out of the GT40. "It is no wonder that [Ford] won in 1966. In fact, they did so well that they won in '67, '68, and '69."
"I have a whole new appreciation for Carroll Shelby, the Ford program of the 1960s, and it's awesome that Superformance is keeping the dream alive with their incredible cars," said Jessi.
