Changes for 2012
The biggest change from 2011 to 2012 in the F-150 has to be the locking rear axle, but that’s not the only new feature for this model year. For 2012, Ford added both a neutral tow assist and the Hill Start Assist for all of their 4x4 models.
What We Like
We love how soft the ride is on the 2012 Ford F-150. While it can take a heavy load and is definitely a work truck, you’d never know it when you’re driving around town or hitting the road with your family. It has the rid of a plush SUV, even when you’re towing a twenty-foot trailer.

Some models sold in early November of 2011 have been recalled due to a problem with the occupant classification system module (OCSM).
The most common issue with the 2012 F-150 is with acceleration. Some drivers complain that it bogs down, while others claim to have issues with the engine misfiring under heavy acceleration.
