Olso Airport Gets Hydrogen Fueling Station

A man who converted a gas-powered car to electric shares his process. Paul Holmes switched his 1971 Volkswagen Superbeetle to electric power all for about $2,200 (including the price of the car). He shares his methods, pitfalls, dos and don'ts, safety tips, and other information helpful for anyone looking to go electric. Despite not having worked on cars before, Paul was able to make the conversion in order to help do his part to prevent climate change. A group of Tesla owners threw a party for their local Tesla store and service center. On September 2, the group of more than 50 enthusiastic drivers surprised the Eden Prairie, MN Tesla employees with gift cards and a banner declaring their appreciation. One employee who previously worked for other automakers noted the large amount of Tesla customers who return and show their gratitude in such big ways. Read more at Green Car Reports.

Norway's Prime Minister Erna Solberg opened a hydrogen fueling station at the Oslo Airport. The new station is a step toward launching hydrogen vehicles on a larger scale in Norway. "This is a very happy day for the entire region. We want to facilitate zero-emission vehicles locally, in ground transport and for external users," says Olso Airport's head of the safety and environment staff, Ole Jørgen H. Hanssen. "We want to phase out the use of fossil fuels in our own vehicles, and that means we need to test various technological solutions such as biofuels, electricity and hydrogen."
