Fleeing Suspects Throw Chainsaws At Police During Chase

One chainsaw caused $3,000 worth of damage to a police cruiser




Police in Duluth, Georgia are looking for the two motorists who threw chainsaws at them during a chase early Monday morning.

The men allegedly stole $19,000 worth of products in a burglary of a local hardware store. The pair began dumping chainsaws and a weed eater on the road in an attempt to trash the pursuing cops' cars.

One chainsaw struck a police cruiser, causing $3,000 in damage, according to NBC 11. After three minutes the suspects ditched the van and the remaining stolen goods.

Police recovered 13 of the 19 stolen items, according to ABC 13, including two more chainsaws that survived the chase. Police are currently looking for the suspects.
