The team at Polyphony Digital has released an update for Gran Turismo 6 that adds the second part of the Red Bull X Challenge and four new cars.
The Red Bull X Challenge is available in the career mode and features Formula One World Champion Sebastian Vettel, who teaches players how to drive an "authentic Formula car." As part of the challenge, two new versions of the Gran Turismo Red Bull X2014 are available in the game's virtual dealerships.
Following rumors, players will also be able to pick up a new version of the Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo by taking part in a new seasonal event. The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Gran Turismo Concept, which we covered at the 2013 SEMA Show, will be available in the game's dealerships. Gamers will also have the opportunity to win the car in a seasonal event.
Finally, as a bonus to gamers, the developers will be gifting a car from the year of each gamer's birth within one week of their birthday. It's unclear if the gifted car will be chosen at random or if each year gets a predetermined car.
The version 1.04 patch should be available for download now, so power up your PS3 and start gaming.
