There isn't much we're allowed to tell you about the 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06... yet. What we can say is that we're extremely excited for the car's official live debut at the Detroit Auto Show next week. And we can also show you some images, courtesy of an accidental leak by Left Lane News spotted by an Autoblog reader named Jarrod (since removed) and a follow-up post from the boys at Jalopnik.

As you can see, the new Corvette Z06 will boast plenty of add-on aero bits designed to keep the car connected to the tarmac at speeds that we'd assume would be up near the 200-mph mark. We see a deeply vented hood, a large rear spoiler, an aggressive front splitter and additional cooling vents in the fender, rear quarter and hind haunches.

Looking closely at the interior image reveals what appears to be paddle shifters that don't match the what we'd expect to be seeing with a manual transmission. What that means, exactly, is sure to be revealed in short order. There's no data just yet on what's powering the new Z06, but we've seen indications of well over 600 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque, and we're not expecting to be disappointed on the power front.

We're sure you're just as excited as we are. Check out the leaked images above.

          Why do people like yourself refuse to acknowledge that the previous generation zo6 and zr1 are class leading in performance. CLASS LEADING. With or without a dct this car will run circles around cars double and tripple its price. If it does come with dct. The car will just run circles around the competition a hell of a lot faster than it does ANYWAY.

          So you bought cheap used vettes from the 90's and comparing them to todays vette... You're an idiot. I mean it's obvious you're an idiot. But an incredibly painful one. Of course anyone can go out by a 10k vette. That's the beauty of them. To sit here and claim you've owned multiple Corvettes and harp about how they aren't an Americanized GT-R when the vettes you've owned are obviously waaay older model years shows just how out of depth you truly are. You're like that guy who I see at work everyday who wants to tell me how much better his Android phone is than my iPhone 5s but he has a Galaxy S2 and no matter how much I demonstrate my phone is better by the simple merit of being newer with better tech he just doesn't get it. You're THAT guy. Except you're hear posting this bullshit on the internet. How pathetic man. So you know what, I actually believe you've owned Corvettes, but the vettes you've owned are so damn outdated in comparison because you've never splurged more than $10k that you've have no actual frame of reference for how the last generation and this generation perform in comparison to the competition. You probably read about how the GT-R and similar cars were performing and became the chicken little of the auto-forum circuit. Here's a hint. You keep ranting about how you'll never buy another vette with DCT or AWD. You just admitted that you've never paid more than 10k for a vette. It's right here for the whole internet to see. You're very obviously talking about owning late model vettes. GM does not give two ***** about you buying another vette if all you're doing is buying used vettes. That does nothing to put money in GM's pockets. So one can deduce that maybe, just maybe someone who monitors media activity is probably openly mocking you with some of his co-worker buddies at GM. "Oh hey look it's that Rob/EvoShift2 guy! He's playing all his greatest hits." Except they're not great hits. They're sad musings of a guy whose ranted and wailed on every single post about vettes on Autoblog since time immemorial. Someone who not only cannot except defeat at the hands of every single person here who has handed your ass back to you but someone who raging about a car he knows nothing about because he owned one a couple of generations older. I mean really. What a lonely and pathetic life you lead. I actually pity you.

          Going back and reading that I realize you were saying your sport bikes weren't more than $10k. That does take the wind out the sails of some what I was saying about you lying about owning vettes so I'm switching my stance back to you lying about owning vettes. The remainder of my rant stands. You're a sad and pathetic man with little else to offer here. You're not a troll. You're a paranoid delusional. Seriously seek help. The depth of mania incredibly disturbing.

          smilez1105 this dude trolls the **** out of every Corvette post on autoblog. He doesn't actually own any vettes. The dude is talking out of his ass and clearly has nothing better to do with his time. Also he was apparently banned from Corvetteforum, but that's hearsay on autoblog.

          @smilz1105 commencing golfclap in 5, 4, 3, 2... Do I get to take credit for forcing him off into the wilderness? (I'm pretty sure he was banned from there so he's probably going to a parachute account that'll get banned as well). I mean of course he'll be back. He's like herpes. He never truly goes away.

          I may have done an idiot move by not reading your post fully. I'm juggling a million things at once and posting from my phone. At least I'm man enough to admit my mistake in not reading your post fully. Are you man enough to finally admit that you're lying about owning a Corvettes? You're right. I've never owned a vette. Neither have I ever actually said I have. I've driven a '62 vette and an early 90's C4 when they still had round tail-lights but never at the limit. Not my cars after-all. This is me being at my utmost honest and yet here you are trying to so hard to convince everyone here that you're part of some exclusive club while at the same time trying to downplay it. Here's how we all know you're a bullshit artist. On almost every post you make you insist that you own Corvettes. You make sure everyone knows it. That's the first giveaway. The second giveaway is the rant about awd/dct. The repetitiveness of this indicates a narcissistic need to appear that you're somehow ahead of the curve. Name dropping Rick Conti is another. Rick Conti advertises on a number of Corvette forums. As an enthusiast that hopes to one day own a vette I frequent a number of forums because I'm interesting in looking at some of the latest vette news at other sources. Rick Conti is advertised everywhere. You name dropping him here also makes it painfully, painfully obvious you're trying to live up to a lie you've made up in your head. I'm serious when I say you've definitely got a disorder going on and you need actual help. You're not healthy. Get help.

          You own these Corvettes right? Prove it. Take pictures of the cars while you have a piece of paper with EvoShift2 written on it in the frame. Note: It can't be at a GM dealership.

      They nailed the design if you're into tribute. This is classic revisited but it looks right. I'm a middle aged guy with issues who wishes he could afford this car.

      Both the Z28 and the Z06 "Camaro and Corvette" have stepped into a whole new class. They'll run neck and neck and many times in front of the "Euro-Snob" rides and do so with an American Growl... Chevy's performance division has some seriously talented and devoted people working in it's plants... These car's are World Class...

      There are paddles on the manual stingray for controlling rev-matching. On the automatic, they're obviously for changing gears while it's in manual mode. I still wouldn't rule out the possibility of a DCT, but hopefully they keep the manual as an option if that's the case. As far as the looks go, my god this thing is aggressive. It looks more like a C7.R than a Z06.

        @Bandit5317
        I thought about that, too. But they have "+" and "-" on them instead of "REV MATCH" like the 7-speed Stingrays. Also, even though it appears to have an H-pattern on top of the shifter, the shifter position and boot look nothing like manual shifter in the C7. I'm wondering if it's just a poorly doctored press photo or what. At least it's a flat-bottom wheel. That's a little different, too.
