The Honda NSX Concept-GT is one sexy machine, and it looks to be a very effective tool on a race circuit. But Honda's latest web spot leads us to believe that it also can be used to make tea.

In the video, the racecar is hooked up to an apparatus that uses tubing to harness the energy from the car's 500-horsepower hybrid drive system, using it to boil water. The novel tea-making technique reminds us a bit of a couple other inventive Honda commercials, namely Hands and Cog.

Watch the NSX ad below, and be sure to turn the sound up to hear that glorious engine note.

Agreed... I felt like the current Accord was a step in the right direction. Let's hope they continue moving towards cleaner designs.

Is it bad that I've already stopped caring about the NSX before it's even been released?

For as long as they've been harping about this car, I'm with you, which is a little depressing to me considering how much I love the original and how much I (used to) like Honda. Lexus launched their LFA with a solid amount of hype (remember how they raced it a year or two before they were even made?) and still delivered successfully, and the way Nissan kept details of their GTR on lockdown before their unveiling (and kept their debut-to-production time so short) was just awesome. Honda may still have some great engineers and I don't mind the styling so much (except that stupid chrome beak, still not a fan) but they really ought to look at other brands on how to properly market, advertise, and deliver their cars. You can't go on and on about how great the next generation of a 15 year old car will be and not do anything. At this point, they're not building any more hype for it because as you said, people have just stopped caring about it.

Not surprising, a lot like the extensive lead up to the Camaro release. Plus the NSX has been promised and taken away so many times, it's like the boy who cried wolf. I think they're really going to bring it this time, but part of me is still a bit sceptical.

Even the Camaro didn;t have a 6 year run-up. First announcements about this car were made in 2007. The current press line is that it'll be on showroom floors as a 2015 model. Which means arriving Summer/Fall 2014 which would mean production model testing should have been underway for months now but the spy photogs haven't seen this thing anywhere. It aint happening anytime soon if it all.

It didn't help that they did the whole "Hey, you like this HSV? Want it to be the new NSX? Like how we're racing it in a production-based series? Well too bad, it's staying track only."

It is becoming more and more clear that Acura has lost its way and forgotten what the NSX represents. The NSX is no longer a super car with affordability, reliability, every day livability and must have futuristic styling. Nope the new NSX is marketing tool to get web page hits. I doubt at this point if they will ever even build it. Instead, next we will see how well it poaches eggs, and races honda minivans around a track.

What's your definition of a supercar? Keep in mind that the NSX came out in 1990

Your definition of supercar is incorrect. Supercars are exotic, desirable, high performance machines. The F40 and McLaren F1 are hypercars. Hyper cars push technology to ludicrous extremes and generally attempt to be the ultimate something with disregard to price. Examples of supercars are cars like the 458, gallardo, aventador. Hypercars are cars like the P1, LaFerraria, Veyron. At the time the NSX matched or exceeded the supercars of the 90s. The NSX was faster than a Ferrari 348, and was barely slower than than much more expensive Testarosa. It wasnt the fastest of the supercars and was the same performance as a vette at the time, but it was an exotic and desirable package. It certainly was a supercar.

Way to go Japan, you have successfully ripped off someone else's design, again. This looks like a Grand Theft Auto version of the R8.

Honda tried to rip-off other cars' designs but as always their effort is a botch-up. They can't even copy properly, let alone come up with anything remotely original or new. Given their godawful designs how Hondas sell in such numbers in the US is beyond me...

Honda has been posting all kinds of junk for like 7 years about the NSX - be nice if they could get around to making one instead of wasting time one stupid stuff like this!
