Three teenagers and one police officer were injured when a golf cart flipped during an exercise that simulated drunk driving.
Wearing special goggles that simulate vision-impairment due to alcohol consumption, a 14-year-old took too sharp of a turn on the driving course. When he overcorrected, the car was hit by a strong gust of wind and flipped over.
Although all of the passengers and driver were wearing seat belts, they still needed medical attention. One of the teens was airlifted to the hospital with numbness in their arms.
Fortunately, it seems as though everyone involved is going to be OK. But this serves as a stark reminder of what drunk driving can do -- even when it's not real drunk driving in a real car.
