From 1909 to 1953, Morgan cranked outs more than 30,000 Threewheelers. On the track, Morgan Motor Company's (MMC) svelte Threewheeler was a champ, capturing victory at the French Grand Prix in 1913. Now, the legendary Threewheeler, packed with modern technology, has officially returned for round two.

According to Autocar, Morgan has logged 480 orders for its £30,000 Threewheeler ( which costs $47,901 U.S. at the current exchange rate). Considering that in 2010, Morgan only produced 740 vehicles, 480 pre-orders is monumental. UK-based Morgan says the majority of these pre-orders have come from abroad.

MMC's 2011 Threewheeler features a Harley Davidson 1800cc gasoline-fueled engine and a five-speed gearbox from Mazda. With a sub-1,100 pound curb weight and some slippery aerodynamics, the Threewheeler supposedly gets up to 50 miles per gallon (41.6 mpg U.S.).

The Morgan Threewheeler will take to the track on Fourth of July weekend at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
