Founded in 2006, ClipperCreek is the exclusive Level 2 charging equipment supplier for Tesla Motors and for BMW's Mini E program. Additionally, the Auburn, CA-based company closely works with automakers like Mitsubishi, Ford, Mercedes, GM and Nissan. Recently, ClipperCreek announced that it hit a milestone back on December 21st by shipping out its 4,000th charging unit. The company credits the 50-percent federal tax credit with boosting its business over the past couple of months and notes that demand for its charging stations continues to follow a rising trend.

Dave Packard, president of ClipperCreek, spoke of the driving forces behind the company's success:
We continue to be the only EVSE manufacturer with product readily available. Our customers have been pleased to find a market tested EVSE, that has been approved by all major car makers, and that can be installed by their own electrician.
However, Jason France, ClipperCreek's chief executive officer, said he has a general disappointment with the lack of federal support for the charging industry, stating:
The industry is way behind in the planned rollout of public infrastructure. Tax dollar supported programs that were intended to get the needed infrastructure in place are way behind for one reason or another.
ClipperCreek currently ships its charging stations to customers in the U.S., Europe and Asia.
