Video: Largest gathering of Tesla Roadsters ever

There are now somewhere north of 1,000 Tesla Roadsters in the wild and the what might be the largest gathering of the electric sports cars occurred last weekend. Thirty customer-owned Roadsters and another four company-owned cars turned up at Pomponio State Beach in Half Moon Bay, CA (about a year ago, at least two-dozen Roadsters gathered). After the taking a group photo with all the cars, they set out for a drive along Skyline Drive, the location of our first drive in the Roadster over two years ago.

There were several customer cars with over 20,000 miles on them, quite an accumulation for a sports car like this in less than two years. Its rather ironic that a green movement car – one that should probably be promoting reduced driving – actually encourages its owners to go out and drive simply for the fun of it rather than necessity.
