Much has been made over the past few months regarding the pricing differences between the new Toyota Prius and its chief rival from Japan, the Honda Insight. As you're surely aware by now, Honda decided the world really wanted a less expensive dedicated hybrid hatchback, while Toyota went all out on technology and features in its bid for hybrid supremacy. Curious exactly how much all of that stuff will cost you?

Wonder no more. Toyota has officially launched the online configurator for the 2010 Prius, which allows you to create your own hybrid with exactly the options you want and find out just how much it's going to cost. For what it's worth, we created our own Blue Ribbon Matallic 2010 Prius III with the Solar Roof and Navigation option package and Remote Engine Start, which allows the driver to cool the cabin down using the air conditioning before entering. Total cost after delivery: $27,879. Thanks for the tip, Bill!
