Volt Bar and Grill opens near GM headquarters

So what if the Chevy Volt won't actually hit the open market until late 2010 (hopefully), the next time you visit Detroit, you can always stop and get your EV fix at the Volt Bar and Grill, which, not surprisingly, is located just a few steps away from GM's corporate headquarters at the Renaissance Center. According to our friends at Jalopnik, the joint isn't actually officially paid to use the Volt name, but it did get a nice leftover sign from a past auto show display to use, and that's got to be worth something, right?

The restaurant's menu didn't escape the convenient branding opportunity either, featuring Volt Nachos alongside the other finger foods typical of this kind of establishment. Of course, this being St. Patty's Day and all, their liquid refreshments will probably be in the highest demand, for the next few hours at least.
