Click above to watch video after the jump

Last week we showed you the 30-second version of Audi's Super Bowl commercial called "Chase". That's the one you'll be seeing repeated endlessly on TV over the next few weeks. The full 60-second commercial, however, just debuted during the big game and we have the whole thing for you after the jump. Witness action movie star Jason Statham travel through the decades in search of a suitable getaway car. Spoiler alert: He winds up in an Audi A6 with the brand's new supercharged V6.

I like this. I love how he doesn't even bother with the ES.

Motorcycles? Jump into the Hyundai Genesis V8 to give chase.

        harder to drift on FWD!

      They Forgot Acura!

      2009 RL has 300hp and cost 47,000
      2009 A6 supercharger has 300hp and cost 50,000

      Very close!

add in the "appeal factor" or lack thereof and you'll see that Acura would have no right to be mentioned in this commercial... plus the commercial was about cars that left their signature during a specific era.. implying that this is Audi's time to shine

That first car was a 1968-1973 280SE 4.5... it was terribly sad to see it die. I have one, and I can say that it corners just fine, even given its 3500lb curb weight. If he'd stolen my other "fun" car, a 1970 300SEL 6.3, he probably wouldn't've had to change it out...

Of course, my "practical" car is a 10 year old A4 Avant, and while it's not as much fun as the other two, it sure is fun.
Yup. I cringed when they showed the 4.5 badge. They can diss handcrafted Benzes all they want, but did they really have to smash it up like that?

And the 6.3 in Ronin supports your other claim.

I think those bikes are Buell Lightnings... Still the best looking bikes no one has ever seen.
Right you are!!! Can't beat the Harley growl and torque, the chassis optimized for handling, and street fighter looks to complete the whole package.

I loved the commercial and liked the use of American chase vehicles: Lincoln Continental, Pontiac Firebird, American built pickup/SUV, Buell Lightening
        • 6 Years Ago
Definitely a Buell, but if you notice is has motocross style handguards which would make it a Ulysses or whatever they call the fake SuperMoto they have. All share the same chassis engine type though. Definitely cool, I have owned and ridden a few and the torque is nice, but you still get your mirrors sucked right off by just about anything larger than 600cc. They do sound good, but not as good as a Ducati IMO. They should have used the new Buell 1125 in keeping with the American theme.

Realistically, would you even bother with the Lexus in that case? Yea, no, neither would I. Heck, I'd take the E28 over an ES even now.

Nice ad, as with all of the "Progress is Beautiful" ads, but really, I'd rather have a G37 sedan. (Different class, I know, but its actually pretty similar size-wise.) Or scrap everything and get a C63, haha.

I love the lexus bit. I drive an ES300 too, definitely not as inspiring to drive as a German car...
Um... that's because you drive a rebadged Camry. Not exactly what I'd call a "real" Lexus...
I love this ad-war-tisment. I can't wait to see all the others companies' responses.

And as long as Audi keeps buying US cars as chase vehicles, the big 3 will not go bust. :)
      Wow!
So Audi sorta gives props to M-B and BMW rivals, but totally disses Lexus.
      Salted!
Well, what does lexus have other than the IS-F that's uber late to the game.... oh that's right. nothing.
Lexuses are for wankers... even the german agrees.
Audi - you don't have to buy one. Just take one when you're on the run.
Hahaha! I loved the Lexus bit.

Interesting to see it's filmed in Australia (The current day bit with the Aussie Ford Falcon)
I don't think it was a Falcon. I'm not expert, but I think it was a Granada or something- the car the EA was loosely styled off.
The BMW scenes were filmed at the Long Beach Marina in frontof the Sea Port Hotel and the Audi scenes were filmed in the tunnel under Bunker Hill in downtown Los Angeles. It's the same location that Britney Spears used in her video where she's driving a Maybach. I love how many iconic cars were in this commercial, especially that giant Lincoln chasing the Mercedes and the goofy Pacer parked along the street.
Ah yeah, on second inspection it looks more like a Tempo or a Taraus. My mistake!
      lame
I know they wanted one car from each decade, (each one's highest point) but it would have been cool to see him try a CTS or Genesis before the A6.
