Back in September, the Die Moto biodiesel motorcycle - crafted from a BMW R 1150 RT enhanced with a 3-series 2 liter diesel engine - set a new land speed record of 130 mph. Sure, that's fast for an exposed land rocket, but not fast enough. The crew at the Oakland, California-based The Crucible, including founder and executive director Michael Sturtz, want to have a go at running their ride at 160 mph, according to sites like Inventor Spot. We're not sure when this new attempt will go down, but "a few months" is the word on the street. A 2006 video of the bike in action is after the jump.
