The big
auto shows in Frankfurt, Paris, Detroit and Tokyo all skew toward the hometown brands. With Switzerland having no significant auto industry of its own, the
Geneva Motor Show carries on the Swiss tradition of neutrality. That means that Geneva attracts all kinds of small manufacturers and independant designers to show their wares. One of those turning up this year is Ralf Zenz who is bringing a lightweight concept coupe. The Zenz coupe weighs in at a mere 1,675lbs. The slick shape of the mock-up that will be on display in Geneva has a drag coefficient of only 0.21. With plans to mount a 140hp
diesel engine in the back, Zenz thinks the car can achieve 78.4mpg (U.S.). Whether that's still possible after adding some of those required details like mirrors and door handles is debatable.
