Our colleagues at Autoblog found a very
tacky
remarkable
Prius: Painted in gold and
green (maybe to ressemble an orange, a sour one) it's a creature made by Kustom Kar King George Barris. This Prius was done by Barris and shown at
SEMA last year. Autoblog did a
post on it way back in 2005 and they have nicknamed it "Proboscis Prius".
So this Prius, besides the green hybrid powerplant has the following specs: 2-inch stretched wheelwells and eyebrow-style flares to accommodate a set of American Racing 18-inch chrome wheels. The wheels have green centers and are wrapped in BF Goodrich low-profile tires (where are the low-rolling tires gone?). The paint is hand detailed with pinstripes and teardrops. There's even a ducktail spoiler out back. Oh, did we mention the car is has some green paint, as well?
