At 17 Kum & Go gas stations in Iowa tomorrow, the price for B2 biodiesel is being lowered by a dime a gallon. Oh, and it's only for four hours, from 8 in the morning until noon. It's part of Biodiesel Appreciation Day and Kum & Go is trying to make it sound like a huge deal. "Even Willie Nelson hasn't come up with a biodiesel promotion this big," is how their press release starts. Hmmm, if Kum & Go is right and Biodiesel Appreciation Day marks the likely "single largest promotion for biodiesel fuel in the upper Midwest," then it means there's a lot of room to grow.
One weird thing about Kum & Go: the company has a MySpace blog. It's a strange mish-mash, like a million other MySpace profiles, and it's linked to from the company website, so I'm guessing it's legit.
There is a list of stations participating in Biodiesel Appreciation Day after the jump.
