GM's Car Czar, Bob Lutz, was interviewed at the New York Auto Show and in the process, he gave up the ghost on the next iteration of the Volt concept that was originally shown in Detroit. Based off the Volt's platform, the E Flex- based concept will sport a biodiesel engine that will serve as the vehicle's range extender and will likely wear an Opel badge when it's unveiled at this year's Frankfurt Motor Show.

The video, posted after the jump, is just shy of 30 minutes long, but is worth a watch. Especially the beginning, where Lutz subtly lambastes a certain Detroit News reporter for an article questioning GM's intentions of building a vehicle using the Volt's system.
