Agribiofuels hooks up with ConAgra for biodiesel feedstocks and marketing

Agribiofuels is currently nearing completion of their first biodiesel production facility in Dayton, TX with production scheduled to start in January 2007. They just announced a deal with ConAgra for them to supply feedstock oils for the plant. ConAgra is one of the biggest agri-business and packaged food companies in the world and controls many retail brands including Orville Redenbacher, Pam, Chef Boyardee and many more. With those resources, ConAgra will also provide marketing and transportation services for Agribiofuels.

Agribiofuels apparently has the use of a proprietary microwave technology that will let them produce diesel from lower quality feedstocks that might not otherwise be suitable for fuel production. At startup, the plant will produce 6 million gallons of diesel per year expanding to over 40 million gallons per year by the end of 2007.
